Banquet 2010 ♫ 12:02 PM
"The night won't wait for us to stay awake...
Banquet came once again. :D And this year, I was finally able to have the dress I designed for last year. [: Thanks to my tita who helped me go look for a place to have it made, my mom who provided the money, and of course Jovanie's [Cabz's tayloring shop] the awesome place that helped put my dress together. :DAnywayss.. So first thing I did that day was go to SM and have my hair done. Gosh, first, I didn't like how they curled my hair, I went home with SHAME written all over my face. So when I got home, I started pulling the curls down so that they'd loosen up a bit. And they did. I'm glad they did.
After that, I ate lunch, then locked myself in my room so I could get ready. I put my dress on, wore a headband, then put on my make-up. Yea, I felt the need to put my own make-up. Hahah! :P I didn't want to let the people in the salon do it coz they might end up making me look like a clown. D: Trust me, I hate make-up. :P [That's why I didn't wear any last year. But this was gonna be our last, so I just did whatever I had to do. :P]
So yea. :D After putting on my make-up, I put on my shoes, then my dad brought me to Sonya's house where we would meet up. And by we, I mean me, Sonya and Nicki. We don't completely know why, but we get really scared when the three of us are alone together. Hahah! :P
Anywayss.. I went there and watched a movie with Sonya while waiting for Nicki. It was a weird movie. Hahah! :P
After a while, Nicki arrived, and Sonya's mom and tito brought us to Country Club. [: Which reminds me, that place was really expensive, so I'm glad the Juniors were the ones who paid for everything. Hahah! :P But Country Club is an awesome place. [: I loved that place since I was really little. [:
Okay, so when we arrived, a lot of people were already there. Which, for some weird reason, reminded me of last year when we were the first ones there. :P
We started taking pictures with everyone, then we headed inside. [: We went back outside a couple of times, then stayed put inside after going around the place.
Makes us look like we're under Marilyn Monroe's skirt, don't you think? Hahah! :P
Then finally, it started. [: Dancing, dancing, dancing. Then DINNER. :D My second favorite part during that event. ^^ You'll find out the first later on. ;]
I kept going back for food, I think I got the most plates at our table. Hahah! :P It was a buffet, so we could more or less get as much as wanted to. :P
Anywayss, my first dance was with Ayel. Hahahah! I know, I know. :P She's a girl, but we got so bored, we ended up dancing... to a slow song, even. Hahah! :P
But my first real dance, was with Emman... again. Don't you guys just find it unfair, how he's always my first dance, and I'm never his first. :/
Anywayss.. after dancing with Emman, a bunch of guys came up to our table asking everyone to dance. But as Nicole [the last person left with me] left to dance too, "Ohh!! Okay! Sure!" Hahah! Although I was just kidding, Adg. Dan came to me and asked me to dance. So yea. Hahah! :P
Dancing with Adg. Dan was weird though. We talked a little, but everytime we looked at each other, we'd nod*. Hahah! :))
[ *It's a thing we have in school. To show respect, we all nod at each other. [: ]
After him was Ino. [: Hahah! Since Ino's shorter than me–and even way shorter coz I was in heels–I asked him to stand on the first step of the stage so that it wouldn't feel weird. Hahah! :D
Okay, so for my favorite part of the night. ^^
That time, I haven't danced with a guy for like a half hour, all the dancing I've done was dancing to Patron Tequila [and a bunch of other songs] with my friends and the whole batch. [:
Then a slow song came up. And for about a minute, I was telling my friends that I wanted to dance with Bruce. [: So they kept telling me to just go and ask him. So I was about to get up, walk to his table and ask him, but before I could even stand, someone tapped me from behind and asked if we could dance. When I looked behind me, it was Bruce. Hahah! :D
But we only danced for a while coz the song was nearing its end when we started to dance. After the song, he told me not to go yet coz the time we danced was too short. Hahah! But the next song didn't come soon enough, so I just went back. [: I just thought it was really sweet, that's all. [:
After him was Xavier. :P When Xavier and I were dancing, we started talking about love life and everything. Then the topic moved to Sonya. Hahah! Then Xavier started saying these things that made me want to laugh and hit him at the same time. :P
After dancing with Xavier, I rested at our table for a while coz my feet started to hurt. [Not from dancing, but because of the darn heels. D:] So I took my shoes off for the rest of the night. :P
Then I danced with Sato whom I arranged to dance with after he got back from the restroom. :D Sato's not the kind of sweet guy you can slow dance with without any awkward atmosphere. So we started to dance the stuff we learned in PE. Mostly Swing. Hahah! :P It was really fun even though he kept spinning me. :D
After Sato, I danced for a short while with Aaron Nidoy. [: And being his normal self, he started teasing me, then brought me to Emman. So I danced with Emman a second time. [Hold on, don't get so excited, coz I'm gonna dance with him a third time later on. Hahah! :P]
Then I danced with Jayvee. :D If I'm guessing it right, I think he wore the same suit as last year. Coz it felt the same when my arms were around him. :P
[ OK, since I don't like Kuro Neko anymore, I'm gonna tell you who he is. :D The next person I dance with. [: ]
While dancing with Jayvee, Ricco asked him if he could interfere. So Jayvee told him to go ahead. So I danced with him. It was weird, but I bet it wasn't as awkward as it would be if I still liked him. I think he thinks I still like him though. Hahah! :P
After Ricco was DN. Then Arcel, but only for like 2 seconds coz the night was ending and I told him I wanted to dance with Cabz, so he started saying stuff like why was I dancing with him if I wanted to dance with Cabz, and that I should go ahead and dance with him. So yea. :P
Then, I saw Cabz dancing with Janine, so I decided to wait for them to finish. Then Emman saw me not dancing with anyone, so, again, he comes to me and we dance for the last time. I told him I was waiting for Cabz. So he brought me closer to Cabz. I told Emman that I didn't like him anymore, but he kept telling me that I just had to dance with him. But I told him nevermind, and just finished our dance.
Then the last song came, and I danced with Kryle. [: I realized the last song was ending and that I'd never get another chance, so I told Kryle that I'd dance with Cabz. [: So he told me to go, then I walked up to them and asked Liezl if I could cut in. So yea. [: I danced with him for like 30 seconds to You and Me by Lifehouse.
[ Gosh, I didn't even notice what song was playing when I danced with my crush earlier. ]: ]
We talked a bit, he asked if my dress was from their shop. I said yea. Hahah! Then we were kinda quiet. I congratulated him coz he graduated ahead of us. And he congratulated me too coz we were graduating and walking the Red Carpet in 2 days.
So yea. After the last song, we had the awarding. [Oh, and we had the turn over for ministers earlier too.] Then it finished at around 10:15 or some time close to that. Ma'am Dep didn't allow us to have it 'til midnight so we started early.
After that, some of us went to Alberto's for the after party. The music, the drinking [ don't worry, I only drank Cali ] and everything.
Then my dad picked me up at around 1 AM. I slept with my curls. Hahah! :P I was too lazy to straighten my hair out, so I did it in the morning instead. [:
