Past Two Weeks ♫ 6:09 AM
Heeeeeeyyyy guys! [=
Sorry for the long delay. During the last week of september, I got a little too busy and for the past week or two, my mom visited. [= So me and my siblings decided to stay with her while she was here. We stayed in our grandparents' house with our aunt and cousin [where my mom grew up and where me and my little sister lived with our mom when I was 9-11 years old] it would have be World War III if our mom had to stay at our house with our dad and... them.
Anyways, so when mommy arrived [October 2], the first thing we did was talk and catch up 'til no-one-remembers-what-time. After that, she started unpacking her things and guess what? PASALUBONG-s!! :P A lot too. :D Food, candies, clothes, scrapbooking stuff, etc. [=
She even had billions of stories to tell and we never got tired of listening. She said that if she starts making our petitions now, we could be there in the US with her in more or less two years! :D I don't know why, but I'm excited. ^^
We weren't able to do much though, ]= Because of the typhoon, we couldn't go out of the house that much.
And sadly, during my mom's stay, our grandfather died of cancer. ]= It's really sad for my mom and my aunt losing both their parents in one year. Remember my last blog before I left for China last summer? I mentioned there that my grandmother [from my mother's side] had passed away.
And 5-6 months later it happened to be my grandfather's turn. :|
Anwyayss... Let's not be sad. ^^ When he lay in his coffin, he had this relieved look on his face that looked like he was trying to say "Thank goodness, it's all over." Because he's been in and out of hospitals [even in manila a few times] since my grandmother died. He was a strong man, but he seemed to be falling apart when Mama left. ]= When we visited him once, he'd gotten so thin and it looked like he had trouble walking even more than before.
I'm gonna miss going through his drawers beside his bed though. I remember we'd always find candies and chocolates there. ^w^ And then we'd eat the fresh pandesal he'd bring home in the morning after he goes jogging.
That was when me and my little sister lived there with our mom when our parents separated. I was 9 when that happened and when I was 11, my mom had to leave for the US, so we started living with our dad since then.
Anyways... Umm... Oh! Pictures! :D
First picture was taken in the house we stayed in. [It's the house where my mom grew up and the house where me and my little sister lived for about 2 years before our mom left] On the left is my sister [Hanna] with our mom on the right.
The other two pictures were taken in SM [= [L-R: o1. Me and Hanna || o2. Mommy and Me :D ]
We didn't do much though. :P And I don't have much pictures, mommy has most of them in her phone. [=
Oh! And speaking of her phone, she has a BLACKBERRY!!! Ö I know, right? xD I don't ahve a picture of it, but this is what it looks like *points to picture below*
Yes, yes, it's pink [unfortunately], but it's awesome! xD If you asked me, I'd prefer that over an iPhone. [= Call me crazy, but it's true. :D
Mommy actually offered for me to have it since she saw how much I loved it, but sadly it's locked. Meaning it's not open line, so it only works for Cingular [a cellphone network in the US], and getting to to be opened will be hard here in the Philippines coz not a lot of places here fix Blackberries. I mean we couldn't find anyone to open the Motorola phone she sent us before, whatwhate with the Blackberry? T~T
Anywayss.. :D While we were going through photo albums, we found pictures of our grandparents when they were younger. [=
[Papa had two pictures.. So go figure. :P]
On the left are pictures of Mama and Papa. Papa's picture is an ID picture though. :P And on the right is Papa again, but younger than the other one. ^w^ I had no idea he was that handsome before. ^^ There's another picture of him that Tita Stelle had [even YOUNGER], but I couldn't get a copy or a picture of it. :P
Yea, and within those two weeks, we had our Greek Fest and SOFAD, gonna post them later on. [=
So yea, that's it. I might have forgotten to mention a few things, but I don't really remember everything that happened, so I'll just put them up later. :P
I enjoyed it a lot though. ^^ Of course, mommy had to go back last Wednesday. [Sunday, supposedly but the typhoon and the landslides gave her a hard time to leave Baguio.]
Oh! And one last thing! I got a message from her this morning and she was asking for our exam and sem break schedule. Wanna know why? [Well, I'm gonna tell you anyways...] Coz if sembreak would be long enough, I could go to Singapore! ^^
But sadly... Sembreak will only be for three days this year [including the weekend] due to cancellation of classes for one week [Typhoon Pepeng] and for a week and a half last July because of the H1N1 thing.
So yea... Goodbye Singapore. ]= Oh well... That's it for this post... Next up... Greek Fest! :D
