Tribute ♫ 8:08 PM

"Sir Emmett believed that learning is not and should not be confined in the the four walls of the classroom...

Just a quick post about what happened today before I post pictures of SOFAD and the outing. :D

So I went to school today at around 10:30. Yes, I was late, but it was fine. :))

We practiced songs, mostly Red Carpet songs. We Enter, We are Gathering, Cover Me, Taps and Home Sweet Home.

We also practiced about 8-10 devotion songs in case they'd ask us to sing a few. [=

Then we went to La Paz, the funeral place, for the Tribute to Sir Emmett. All batches were there. From the first graduating batch, to our batch, batch 2010.

There were manongs and manangs from batch 1967 [first batch] were even there. Of course no batch was complete, not even ours, since today was a Sunday and no one wanted to require all seniors to be there, so everyone who was there arrived voluntarily. [=

Most batches had a representative who gave speeches and short messages. Batches from the 90s and above were in a separate room [just beside the Chapel everyone else was in] watching everything happening through a screen and we could hear everything perfectly. [An LCD projector was connected to a camera in the other room.]

Anywayss... after the batches from the 70s decade, they had to start the mass. We were all supposed to present something before the mass, and that's what we expected, sicne if we waited until after the mass, we'd all be going home late.

So manong VJ asked if our batch could give our tribute before the mass. And so we did. [=

We sang the Red Carpet songs, and one or two devotion songs and we had to stop since it was taking too long. But while we were singing, I saw one manang around her late 50s singing along to the songs, and another manang from one of the batches from the 70s crying.

It made me tear-up as well. I didn't want to cry while giving our tribute, so I held back the tears and just continued singing.

And in the end, manong VJ said that we were all invited to the burial, which would be tomorrow. I want to go but I think we have to do something for our IP. ]=

If I can talk to Char about it, I'll ask her if we could move the rabbits' urinalysis to the afternoon so we could go to the burial in the morning. ^^

Manong VJ also said "Congratulations. I think you've just won yourselves tickets to the Alumni Homecoming." Hahah! [= Yes, it's rare for seniors to be joining the alumni homecomings. So if we are invited, then we'd be the third batch to join an alumni homecoming during our senior year. :D

That's it for today. [= Time to post pictures of SOFAD and the outing. ^^

...He taught us about life... a journey." ü
